UNTOLD ELECTION STORY: GOVERNOR, STATE LEGISLATIVE TURNOVER TO CREATE RENEWED
PRO-LIFE MOMENTUM IN STATE CAPITALS
Washington, DC – 11/3/10 – Americans United for Life Action, the legislative action arm of Americans United for Life, anticipates significant movement on the Life issue as a result of last night’s election. With a class of new, pro-life Governors entering office in January, the dynamic in state capitals will shift significantly. For example, our effort to help states opt out of taxpayer-funded abortion in the new health care law, which saw early success in 2010, will likely see increased momentum in 2011.
“We are looking forward to working with a new class of pro-life Governors and pro-life legislators. There are a number of significant pieces of pro-life legislation that will see new movement in 2011,” said Charmaine Yoest, President and CEO of AUL Action.
